I got some cheap pair off Amazon, and it did filter the light well, but I didn't like wearing glasses in general. I don't use them anymore and just use the Night Light option on my work PC all the time. Makes my screen kind of look like mustard but it's a lot easier to look at for a long time.
Had similar concern and recently visited doctor. Blue light protect your eyes in general but is not designed for eye dryness. Go to pharmacy and let them know your eyes' getting dry, they will get you drops, which are extremely helpful

For your eyes, blue light wont help in that way I belive, add the filter on your phone and test it, the thing that will help are some better lenses that works better for someone that works the amount you do and for dry eyes. But in my opinion I would recommend that you change to glasses after some hours, then your eyes wont Get this problem. Get some really good glasses.
Have had glasses my whole life and am near blind (-7 in each eye). I went to go buy glasses ~ 2 years ago and was told by the doctor that he has not seen any proof of blue light lenses making any difference, so i passed on them [also at a毫米;)]. Just step away from your computer for a few minutes multiple times a day.
I installed "Shady". It definitely helps.

During quarantine, I noticed my eyes began to feel strained. Between work, school, and my personal life, I realized I was probably spending somewhere in the neighbourhood of ~100/week on a screen. I don't have migraines, but I do get headaches relatively frequently, so not wanting to tempt fate, I bought a pair of blue light glasses on Amazon. Maybe its just a placebo, or maybe they really work, but I haven't felt strain on my eyes since I first put them on. I've noticed as well, especially at night, that if I spend a few minutes looking at a screen without them on, then put them on, I immediately feel the relief on my eyes.
Not sure about eye dryness, but I used to get constant headaches when sitting at the computer all day. With blue light glasses, I barely have them anymore.
My doctor said I should try them and I initially balked at the price point locally. Wasn't sure if they are worth it. So I ordered a cheap pair off AliExpress and they work indeed. blue-ish light is filtered through the lenses and the image appears a tiny bit "more clear" with a tiny yellow hint to them.

This is actually interesting - hadn't heard of it. There've definitely been days where I've slouched close to the comp screen for hours then tried to look at something far away outside the window and almost see double. Need a better work setup ASAP.
Cheap low standard blue light glasses can actually hurt your eyes. 1. Get a good monitor and put on eye mode or comfort mode. I did it to mine now 24*7. 2. Consider wearing glasses instead of contact. Most glasses allow you to order lens with blue light filter.
Personally, I've always had some trouble going to sleep at night and having blue light glasses really helped with that. I know people have said you technically need blue light during the day, which is true, but I recommend trying them out. I usually get the $20-30 ones on Amazon so its cheap to replace if they break. Costs less than constantly buying melatonin at least
