EBswill crush it as always and pay meaningfully above street.I thinkBBswill be up but not as much as deserved by junior and mid-level bankers that have been sacrificing their lives in a record M&A environment. There's an opportunity for topMMfirms that have gained a bunch of share to pay aboveBBlevels.
What makes you say that? The BBG articles (I've seed two, maybe more) have referenced onlyBBbanks juicing their bonus pools this year?
Will be firm dependent, but my bank's fee revenue this year is up more than 2.5x on relatively constant headcount. If they don't juice bonuses, then half the firm would probably quit lol
Can confirm thatGS, EVR,JPM, and MOE will be in the range of 80-110% of base. Can't speak to other banks, but I can assure you this year will be strong across the board, assuming you're at a mid-to-top tier firm inNY.
EVR was already above 110% of base for everyone above As1 based on this last bonus cycle (125% for As2, for example) so expect a crazy comp year for them
At aBBand was already at 130%,- 140% for A2 through VP1, so it's 150% or bust at an absolute minimum this year…
thoughts on that 80%-110% range staying consistent for the next couple years or is this year just an anomaly? Curious about what others think about the new variant/interest rate hikes impact on deal flow.
100% bonus is not typical for AN1 at mostBBorMM
EVR/PJT/CVP obviously excluded
Isn't this effectively what it was last year?
This would be very disappointing if true
