Consulting PE Groups

Hello everyone!

Since I am about to finish my Master's in Management program within the next 6 months or so and I want to start working in Consulting afterwards I was wondering about the different practice groups that can be found at big consulting companies.

One thing I noticed was that most consulting firms have a Private Equity group listed on their websites and I am very interested inPEin general, so I wanted to ask you guys if you could answer some of my questions.

a) What is the general working environment like compared to other practice groups in terms of travel, working hours etc.

b) What exactly would the actual work entail?

c) What skills are needed?

d) What are the exit opportunities? Is it easier to go fromPEConsulting toPEcompared to other consulting practices?

If someone working in such a group, especially in Germany, could give me some more insights, I'd appreciate it a lot

Best,

Frank
