ESADE or INSEAD MiM for Management Consulting?

Hi everyone!

Basically I'm going for Master's, and my choice is between Master's in Management for these two universities, and I would love to hear from some people how those in the industry view them and which one is better. So far I heard that INSEAD is a much bigger brand worldwide and theirMBAis top tier, but their MiM course is just launching this year, while ESADE is a lot more regional, but have been running their course for a lot of time now. Also, INSEAD is about 3 times as expensive, given that ESADE gave me a scholarship, but that is a minor consideration.

From the point of view of career prospects in the Management Consulting industry, which course would you pick if it was available for you, and why? I very much appreciate all the responses as I'm trying to get some educated opinions on this topic.

Forgot to add what's actually important - I'm looking to work somewhere in Europe, and although Asia could be a possible choice, it is definitely not a primary one.

Insead and not even close. ESADE isn't a big target / feeder, Insead is

Thanks! Do you think the fact that it's a new course is not that important to the recruiters?

Being part of the inaugural class could show your entrepreneurial and/or pioneering spirit and mindset. So on the very contrary: that may be viewed as a good thing, from the recruiters' standpoint.

By the way, on a quick side note: many more decent and good strong MiM Programs (other than INSEAD & ESADE):LBS,LSE, HEC, StGallen, ICBS, etc. Maybe keep your options a bit more open, you never know which school might throw money at you when you receive the admission decision.

Curious here: Is the INSEAD MiM roughly a three semester programme? Trying to figure out whether you have a "built-in" summer internship there... That would make it significantly easier to build traction with employers by offering them "lower risk" interns instead of having all graduates apply for aFToffer.

Not precisely designed as a 'three-semester' Program, but yes: absolutely ok to apply for summer internships (instead of full-time offers) for selected industry functions that require the Summer pathway (such asIB, etc.). The Program's Director clearly mentioned it and reassured everyone (during a previous Admission Webinar for the Program, but also in-person, during an On-Campus Event). So yeah, there should not be any sliver of summer internship-related anxiety for prospective applicants.

(Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with the school. Just merely attending a lot of Admission Events, that's all.)

I figured the school is fine with it. The problem could rather come from employers. I've seen recruiters tell potential recruits that they could only apply for full-time positions once they were done with their curriculum, no internships. Relatively stupid if you ask me, but still something to consider.

我们ll probably only find out if and how it applies to the INSEAD MiM after a couple cohorts go through it.
