M&A is pretty busy in Africa with everyone chasing the African success story, there is a lot of competition though. Check out the Zephyr report on Africa and South Africa at mandoportal.com

HoweverECMis not such a big deal except in South Africa and Kenya who have fairly developed financial services sectors.DCMin South Africa is a big deal as it is often used to fund Pan African Investments. Many banks have dedicatedDCMgroups. Nigeria'sDCMis growing but many Nigerian firms raise capital in London, New York or Johannesburg.
