Small IB Tech M&A advisory or Big Econ Consulting Shop.
This is a pretty niche question so any advice would be appreciated.
I'm currently a rising senior at cal studying econ and math. I'm doing my juniorsummer internshipat a top econ consulting firm in the bay area. I like the work and I would be fairly happy converting to full-time or working for a different econ consulting firm. On the other hand, I have a bit of a network at FAANG and at a few 10-50 personIBtech M&A firms. I think I could get a full-time offer at one of theIBfirms, they aren'tQatalyst Partners but havedone deals with most of FAANG and look like they have a good deal flow. I have no clue which sounds better. I want to keep my options open and do anMBAin a few years. Econ consulting seems like it has goodMBAplacements but I can't find anything for small boutiqueIB。All the MDs when to anM7if that matters.
Any feedback would be great!

I might be able to answer this well as someone whose done consulting &IB。你应该去经济咨询报价。如果you're talking a shop like Analysis Group, FTI, Brattle, these places do very well withMBA。如果you don't see too manyMBAstudents with that background, it's mostly because there's a wider variety of exits, even into other types of graduate work (CS, data science). Even places like Keystone kick serious ass despite being very small. SmallerIBshops will assuredly be more of an uphill battle. Nobody likes to say it but prestige / brand recognition matters a good bit to admissions officers trying to placeMBAcohorts.
