So I've always been at a loss because by eradicating greek life, the university risks losing a ton of donation funds and the number of applicants most likely decreases for the reasons I stated above. Every college wants to pump up application numbers because it'll decrease the admit rate. Basically is the "good" PR worth potentially losing millions of dollars and thousands of applicants? It doesn't add up to me. Maybe I'm just stupid and looking at it the wrong way but idk

Everyone is going to have a different experience with fraternity life. Some are great and some are shit. I did not have a good experience with it but many of my friends at other schools had a very good experience with it and stayed friends well after college. The hazing at my fraternity was weird, at least for me. A good part of the hazing was treating pledges poorly, which just did not feel right to me, so I dropped out. I stayed friends with the guys in the fraternity, though. I liked the going out to bars part of it, but that was about it. And I still went out to bars with the guys even after I dropped.
Way too many guys on this site are afraid of women. They feel like are going to get me tood by some female who is trying to take down men. If you do not act like a total a******, you are probably not not going to get me tood. Some guys have always acted like ********. The only difference now is that some females are calling them out on it.

I hate to be so "back in my day", but that's kind of the vibe. 10 years ago it wasn't "down with cisgender white men!" as strongly as it is now, and not everyone needed to be a color of the rainbow pride flag to fit in.

Grades were very inflated during online school. Generally to make deans list one needed to get a 3.8 but during online school it was 3.95. A lot of freshman are very awkward due to the end of high school being online. Ecigs and Juul is very popular. Drug usage has gone down somewhat but weed is fairly popular. Frats were never huge at Emory so its about the same. However they've had to deal with their "problematic" histories. According to the professors the students have gotten smarter over the years but that could just be due to Emory becoming more selective(average SAT this year was 1510-1520 and ACT was 34). LGBT is around 15-20%. Stress is not too bad among freshman but fairly high among upperclassmen. There are a lot of people into the alt fad.
