膜集成电路tion writer needs High Finance partner wardrobe suggestions...
I'm writing a fiction book where one of the male characters is a high finance Partner who has spent 15 years on and off inNYand various amounts of time in Paris and Hong Kong. He's in his late 40's and has impeccable taste, but he doesn't buy for show he buys for value...I was curious if someone like that would buy off the rack or have everything handmade...
一个nd if he were to buy off the rack, can someone throw out some names for me: everything from shoes to socks to underwear to suits to ties to watches...a listing of designers or somewhere i could go online would be most appreciated that would reflect this character's interests--perhaps there's a certain site that lists the type of clothese someone like this might buy?
一个nd what would he absolutely abhor--I mean if his girlfriend were to show up in what, would he just die from? :)
Thank you so much,
Susan

perfect...thank you. The character is also in M&A, but I think this is spot on.

Thanks...I've been reading through the forum, but wasn't sure if Investment Banker vs. M&A vs. whatever else there was in Finance contained marked divisions or not from a fashion standpoint....for instance, can I assume that a nattily dressedIBis the same as an M&A guy?
Big hoop earrings. I would chase her naked with a chainsaw down the hallway to her death.
lol^
your book sucks already. please refrain from writing this drivel. right now it sounds like you would like to novelize sex & city.
Susan,
He sounds like a cliche. Bret Easton Ellis much?
How about a portrayal beyond an amalgam of stereotypes? Something someone would want to read about instead of something everyone has read about countless times before.
For all the previous posters this is funny...yes, this is a real person whom I dated and yes, I did read Brett Easton Ellis book on the suggestion of another writer and loved the descriptions of all of the clothing; however, the book has been out for quite a while, so I didn't want to leverage what Brett had because it might be out of style or that fashion house may not be in business anymore; I really don't know as I don't have experience so I thought I'd ask someone who currently is into that.
This book by the way isn't about Wall Street, it's just my dating experience in general and this guy was just one guy--but he had certain tendencies that I do see reflected in these forums; so as a writer it just helps me to "name" some of the things I saw (in this case, specifc WS clothes) that I don't have experience with.
I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend.
Susan
Unless he has a deep dark secret involving a sub standard gpa and a state school degree, we've all read the story and don't give a sheet.
Or a substandard penis and a state school wife? Oh wait, we were going for original.
holy shit why have you not killed yourself yet
