I am an undergrad and have an info interview with an alumni who's involved with RE and we are meeting inside a very nice hotel inNYC, specifically the "gold room". I am not sure if this calls for a suit or like a blazer and khaki situation.
Any advice here is very helpful

I'd dress business casual at the least. If he's meeting you in the middle of a workday and may be in a suit, you could wear one to "match" him if you want to. Definitely BC at the least.

Show some respect. You asking just makes it look like you're more concerned with being casual than making the best impression.
