John Kerry famously purchased $10kworth of Vineyard Vines ties before the 2004 campaign. I have several - they are good quality but certainly not exceptional.

Marginal craftsmanship and style...
I would stick with Brooks Brothers for a polished conservative look, Thomas Pink for a fashionably forward yet classic appearance, and Ralph Lauren P-label for the more elegantly clad...
Just some suggestions...
I have several of them and they all are extremely young and fratty. I love them. They are a good length and thickness. If you like a patterned tie, they are fun.

I live in St. James' so have Jermyn Street and Savile Row on my doorstep - they do not however sell Vineyard Vines ties which was the topic of discussion.

It should be noted that Larry Kudlow has an extensive collection of VV ties that he usually sports in the summer months.

Kudlow's a jackass, but he has a distinctive sense of style - T&A shirts, VV/H/F ties, a penchant for brown suits, and that carrot knot of his with a linen pocket square.
My style is a bit different, but I can respect his.
