I'm planning on going on vacation with a buddy of mine in August. Assuming borders open up, should I go to Sicily to explore the island or Alaska to talk to some grizzlies aboutnavigating a bear market?

I'd go wherever you are least likely to go in the future. For me that's Sicily. But on second thought, if you have (or might get) a girlfriend that isn't into the whole woods/camping thing, then I'd go to Alaska before she monopolizes all vacation plans. Both would be awesome though!
Agreed. I'm really considering Alaska.
for sure do Alaska bc italy is an easy girlfriend/family trip down the line but Alaska would be dope with the guys and not nearly as fun with a family
2018年去西西里和意大利南部,was spectacular. Everything you would think it would be and more. Take a trip there regardless, whether it is right now or in the future.
Caveat is that I've always wanted to go Alaska and do some black bear hunting. My buddy went there with his fam for his graduation gift and said it was the best trip of his life.
Either way, should you be able to go to either, you will have plenty of fun and won't forget or regret it.
Definitely. I don't think anything beats the Alaskan wilderness. Where do you generally hunt?

I spent a week in Sicily- absolutely amazing place. When I went it was early spring and the weather was about as perfect as I've ever experienced anywhere. But I suspect it would be really hot in August. Also, work in Europe sort of shuts down in the month of August as tons of people go on vacation, so there might be a lot of tourists there then. Of course, this year is not normal so who knows.
My friend that lives there said the same exact thing.
Alaska all the way.
I did Alaska in the winter, flew intoAnchorageand drove up to Fairbanks. Magical time, northern lights, hotsprings, all that jazz.
I have heard that Spring/Fall in Alaska is likewise another world. If you have the chance to drive through the state I would highly recommend it.
Also, Anchorage - lobster & fish - some of the best I have eaten.
that salmon is really tempting.
The tuna is also fantastic and honestly I stock my freezer with pounds of it any time a friend/family member goes fishing up there. I could eat that for Bfast, lunch & dinner.

If you go to Sicily, don't take anything valuable with you and expect for something to get stolen. There are so many theifs there.. Even hotel/hostel staff steal things.

As an Italian I have a bias but Sicily is truly amazing and due to its cultural heritage, it has some very uniqueplacesthat you won't find anywhere else in the world. You also have wonderfulnaturespots if you're into those types of adventures. Consider other factors too such as the weather and the food which are going to be great!
