Wustl vs Vanderbilt Undergrad for BBs

I've been working on my college list to apply to following winter break and am contemplating for my last choice to either apply to wustl or vanderbilt (I can't apply to both, already applying to bunch of standard targets). I'd like to hear pros/cons of each school, about the respective social scenes there andibdplacement. I'm from New Jersey and I might not fit in the south which is why I'm hesitating about Vandy. Olin seems to be legit, but also seems to be relatively unknown in relation to other targets and so I would greatly appreciate input on this. Thanks!

TKid, Vandy is not really that southern, the kids are smart, the food is good, there is a lot of country music, but you won't be dealing with all of the nonsense you hear about when you hear about southern schools. You won't see as many super fratty southerners as you would at places like UGA or SMU or something deep south. Tennessee is pretty tame. This is coming from someone from Kentucky.

But anyways, I don't know what yourGPA但我不会期望进入的se schools. My good friend got into Vandy the other day and he will be attending. He has basically a 4.0 at an accelerated school, 35 ACT, 2 grades ahead in math, studies in science lab and does research at nearby college and did not get any scholarship money, My other friend who has almost the exact same stats and better extracurriculars, did not get in. The kid is basically the smartest kid I know, he's a huge asian guy (6'6) that has above a 140 IQ and plays lacrosse. Vandy is becoming really competitive. But I must say that it is really really really nice. I had surgery at the vandy childrens hospital when I was younger and the buildings at the school were top of the line, I'd never seen anything like it. Lots of Metal on the buildings, smooth chrome looks, and lots of the newest technology. The campus was beautiful and the food was fucking insane. The pancakes man, so good. Wash U is a little easier to get into from what I have heard. But I really don't know a lot about it, it is certainly competitively ranked compared to other schools but it is not as competitive forIB. You could probably break in with great grades but, you never know.

Don't expect to get in to either, not saying you wont.

I highly recommend Michigan, UVA, Indiana and maybe even Notre Dame if they are still open for apps. The placement is leaps and bounds better at these schools, and they are all more fun.

Can't offer pros and cons because I'm only speaking from what I've seen, but in my experience Vandy trumps Washington hands down. I also wouldn't worry about the culture shock - I worked with some Vandy kids this summer in S&T, and they were some of the most NE prep kids I've ever met. Really not a culturally southern school

Vandy is basically Notre Dame without the sports and religion.
