The SP business makes quite a lot of money and it's treated like a separate entity to the rest ofIB. From what I read they are looking for third party capital. Which means big money is coming in tofund their balance sheet. So who knows…could it be it's own private credit fund backed by some mega fund (only speculating here)
If you're starting there, and you have an offer. Hold on to it. It's uncertain for sure but the business makes money. SoCSwould be dumb to cut resources from it.
