How creative should be essays for MSF programs?
I'm currently writing essays forMSF计划和决定谷歌”论文的例子for graduate schools". Most of the examples were so far from the main topic and/or so personal that I started questioning my essays. For instance, in one of these essays for about half the text the author writes about death of his cousin and his thougths about the purpose of his own life, and then he says that this experience made him decide to change his career track from corporate job to being a teacher, which he wants to achieve by going to the school. Do I actually need to write this type of BS? Or it is OK to write just a simple essay, describing my experience and goals, how the program will help me to achieve them, and how I will contribute to the school?

I think it depends mainly on your overall profile, ie if you have a very strong application overall the essays won't matter as much. On the other hand, if your profile is less competitive, you might want to go the extra mile to have interesting essays which might catch the eye of the recruiter reading them, as opposed to something very basic, which is fine, but won't set you apart from other candidates.
Talking for EuropeanMSF, have no idea how it is done in the US
