Tier1 VC / famous&VC-related asset management role : which is better?

Hello everyone,

I just need some guidance and career advice. Thank you in advance!
I recentlylanded two venture capitaloffers, one from a Tier 1VCfund, and one from a well-known and big alternative investing/asset management firm wherethe role would be >50% co-investments inVCfunds and the rest in primaries (VC fund investments).
I am based in Europe and applied for analyst position atVCfirms.

The thing is, I feel like even if the fund is Tier 1, people outside of theVC/entrepreneurial space don't really know the name. In the meantime, I want to return to my home country at some point (theVCis abroad, asset management is in home country). People in my home country know the asset management firm's brand name and theVCscene there is not that big.

In the long-term, I would want to continue inVCif I can, or work in sustainable finance. I don't have that much interest in joining a startup.

So here are my questions:
- for general finance things, which one seems to have the best exit opportunities?
- does it close me doors forVCsif I go to the asset management firm (where I would mainly do co-investments in startups)?

  • any other insights on the situation?

Thank you very much!!
