Advice for Pursuing IB
I am currently a senior at a non-target college this year and am currently looking for an internship for this summer inIB, I just quit my job I had as a Teller at TD Bank that I worked for my first 3 years in college. I don't have any internship experience and couldn't do a ton outside of work/school because nearly all my time was taken up working full-time and going to school full-time. I am just wondering what would be in my best interest to do in order to be able to compete against a lot of these applicants who are also pursuingIB. I have been networking and taking courses in the time I have gained back from ending my job, but I am having trouble filling up my resume with attractive things that recruiters are looking for inIBapplicants. I thank you all for any advice I receive in advance.

Look into corp dev (can sometimes transition toIBfrom there) or reach out to small one-off boutiques.
Can also try your luck with the bigger banks too in jobs like risk management, etc. I've seen people move toIBinternally sometimes from those departments (I only have like 1-2 data points on this though TBH).

I am assuming you are graduating undergrad this Spring since you're a senior? That would mean you are recruiting forFTIBroles instead of internships.FTIBrecruiting is insanely difficult, even for students who interned at anIBthe previous summer or students with actual experience.
At this point, your best bet is to get some type of corp dev (like the other commenter said) or something finance/accounting related at an F500. If you still want to doIBafter a few years, apply for anMBAand try to get amIBAssoc role. What does your resume look like aside from the teller position? Most students you will be compared to will have finance-related, or even investment banking, experience on their resume as well as a 3.5+ GPA with 1-2 leadership positions in relevant organizations.
