As the title implies, I'm a guy looking to potentially transition from Trading -> Private Equity. I'm very ignorant of this side of the industry so please bear with me here.

I'm a pretty fast learner and have some leeway in terms of time to prep and educate myself. Do I stand a chance at all transitioning to this new field and if so, how should I go about it? Or, would I pretty much have to start all over as if I'm out of undergrad -> banking -> PE?
