To be clear, I work at a regional bank in commercial banking. Pay is stellar, WLB is unbelievably good and one day I would like to start my own debt fund (which doesn't get panties wet, I know). Semi-target education, decent looking and an insecure douchebag at times. IRL, I'm flattered by how much girls trust me right off the bat...I'll take that as I'm approachable and not creepy.
Based on anecdote/small sample size, girls at white shoe law firms are too resume focused.

Girls generally want to be with someone that they perceive to have equal or greater intelligence and professional success. Everyone's different though, so who knows what this one girl is like. Approach her as normal and find out.

If she works inPE, and is good looking, and you're asking generally: pretty damn stuck up is a decent bet.
But you wouldn't want to be dating a stuck up girl in any serious way, so you have to approach it as though she's cool. No point planning around a situation that's untenable. Assume the best and go for it. Unless you're aiming for less serious in which case mean girls are a lot of fun. No guilt factor.
Why would you ever want to date a girl that's in PE? Date a girl that works in like marketing or HR or something.

Asking how 'stuck-up' girls in high finance are is the same as asking how many chicks in marketing like coffee. Some of them may, some of them may not. Sure, broad generalizations can occasionally be assumed, but 95% of the time it's just a personal thing. She could be the sweetest girl ever, or she could be an asshole. You won't find any of the answers on this forum, just gotta ask.
You mention that you're 'approachable', so that's a good start. Forget your job, forget hers. It shouldn't actually matter - if you're a nice enough guy, not a creep, and you take care of yourself, then you'll have no issues finding a chick. I'll just ask this - if a potential partner looks down on you for working in CB, is thatreallythe kind of person you want to be with?
