Aspie faux-paus with applications--Job Forum didn't answer :(
2 Jobs in question
1). Should I go hit up someone from the desirable company and convey my ambitions to work for their company via linkedin/email? I did 1 video interview already but seriously deserve to at least continue the interview process (if you think I'm entitled, buzz off, the labor market has supply side as well as demand foo)
2). I saw a job but forgot to apply to it.Posting has closed. Would have been a real cash printing firm, conflicted about my waiting. Is it worth asking my contact (who founded the company) if they have an opening? There were like 3 applicants when it closed according to linkedin. I saw it but stuff got really busy and I forgot to apply, surely happens to a lot of people who apply to zillions of jobs and want to craft submissions to the really desireable ones
yes, I am autistic. Yes, I realize what I didn't do was stupid but all of us are a bit goofy when stressed from time 2 time, aren't we...
That said, I'm ready for the bsers

I dont understand 50% of what you have said but case 1; just email someone in the firm you have some connection to (same college, hometown etc.) and ask for anetworking callor a coffee. Case 2, if you actually know the founder just ask if they are still hiring for the job, he doesn't want to hire some bozo and as such likely doesn't care about a LinkedIn deadline (also the number of people LinkedIn says have applied is rarely ever correct)
1) You're not entitled, but don't be arrogant either. Yeah, the ball's in the supply side's court right now but use it don't abuse it. Just shoot a follow-up email and ask about next steps. You said you already did an interview, so you already have a contact, yes? Otherwise, if you have someone you know there, network with them. Nothing wrong with telling them you've already done a video interview but were waiting for any feedback.
2) Just ask the person if they have something open or opening that'd be a good fit. Skip the whole crafting some super attenuated presentation of a resume if you already have that connection. They know you, know what your background is, and who you are as an overall candidate.
3) You at least posted on the jobs forum first so it's worth a follow-up even in OT.
Def not being arrogant, just alluding to being a relatively experienced analyst and clarifying (albeit indirectly) that I am not shooting outside of my abilities with these apps. Thank you for the comments, though ;)
I DO NOT have a contact for the first job, which is why i am asking :)
我真的很难理解你的房间g and one of the other responses said that too. If this is just you blowing off steam or a casual way of writing, that's fine, but if this is how you normally write and talk you may want to brush up on your communication style, which may be why you're not hearing back after interviews. If you're actually neurodiverse and not just throwing those terms around, that is valued at a lot of companies, but you still need to find a way to write so that other people can understand.
1. Agree with the other poster, you're not entitled to another interview... supply/demand doesn't negate them deciding someone is the wrong fit. It can't hurt to ask someone if you have a contact, but don't go overboard. Be humble, polite, ask if they've filled the role or know of any others and express your interest to work at the company.
2. LinkedIn applicants numbers only include those who applied using LinkedIn, that number is likely only a fraction. If you know the founder, of course reach out and ask if they're still hiring.
