Anyone have experience with Two Sigma's private equity team? It seems like they have a very data drive approach things but wondering how well that's been working out.

Yes, they heavily leverage their data science team. From what I understand this allows them to create new business where this data insight allows pricing assets (eg rail cars) attractively. So they essentially multiple arb by launching a new business and exiting it as a platform.

I think they are a bit of a joke. They "over fit" their data angle to situations where the most basic fee bullet points of the business/investment thesisfall short.
Depends where you are in your career. If you're junior, prob better going elsewhere if you have options. If you don't have other solidPEoptions, then it's an easy choice.
