体育(project finance) vs PE (Opco)

I am currently working in the renewables sector in investment management, managing a listed fund. My LT goal has always been体育(original I know). I always thought I would need a stint inIBbefore looking at体育roles, however the following opportunity as presented itself:

Investment manager for a体育fund investing in international renewables projects.

My question is, are these type of roles likely to bring in similar salaries to that of a typical private equity firm that invests in operating companies?

My thought process is so long as these funds exit then why not? (As opposed to an investment trust that has no view of exiting).

It feels like an inflection point in my career where I either take this role or I take anIBrole and assess options in 2 years time. This seems more interesting,IBis obviously a "safe option".

For context my background is in Chartered accountancy followed by investment management.
