Hey guys! I might be overthinking but I'm kinda worried that I misunderstood the meaning of the HR call. It would be great to get suggestions from people with more experiences like you guys.

I also talked to my referral who said the HR might be ooo and told me to not worry and reach out to HR in a couple of days.

Do you guys think I should ask the HR if I really got the job, or just assuming I've got the job and ask her when I'll receive the offer letter like what I did last time? And do you guys suggest me calling or emailing her?

It is a good sign, but I'm not sure how you'd interpret that as a verbal offer

Sounds like they're behind on adminBS. If they're asking you for location preference AFTER the SD, I'd assume you're getting an offer. Maybe they're just figuring out class sizes/where to put everyone based on preference.

If she never hit you back after you asked about the offer letter then I'd say no harm in circling back now
It sounds like an indication that an offer is coming but I wouldn't call it an "offer" until there are $ figures discussed
Not an offer, and imo was kind of presumptive to ask when you'll receive an offer letter. I'd say it's 50/50 now given how long it's been, and that the referral didn't say that you had an offer (they know)

Well that's positive. I'd still stay super neutral to HR and not presume you have an offer with them.
Yes the decision is made right after the superday. Especially if the referral works in that group, he/she would definitely know.
