hec montreal —> IB in toronto
hey guys i have been strongly considering a masters in finance in HEC montreal, from what I have saw they have a strong presence in Quebec how is it for Toronto and calgary? also i dont speak french which ik will hurt my chances in landing a job in montreal, my plan is to make the most of the two years in terms of extracurriculars and building a good resume however i would be targeting toronto or calgary for summer internships andFToffers do you think its possible or should I go for a masters in econ at mcgill, uoft , queens etc.. but i wouldn't get the b-school experience

Chances are pretty low. Hiring inIBin Canada is pretty limited and at the masters/MBAlevel, even more so. To get a job from a school outside the region would be pretty tough on top of that. Maybe your chances are better if you're an 'in' minority.
okay forgetIB, lets focus on any decent/consulting finance role which program do u think will lead to higher chances hec mfin or uoft/mcgill masters in econ
Quebec: McGill > HEC
Rest of Canada: Toronto > Western > Queens
I'm thinking of going to HEC for anMBA. Since I dont want to pay $110K-$120K for anMBA. HEC costs $19,500 and it's ranked well across Canada. The others listed are just a step above
很多Mfin HEC毕业生Mtl继续工作at CDPQ. If you don't speak French at all that's pretty much a closed door for you.
Why not do the McGill Mfin? It places extremely well at pension funds (PSP for sure, probably OMERS and CPP too). I'm not that knowledgeable on theIBscene, so I can't really comment on that if it's really what you want to do. I heard good things about UofT financial economics program tho.
would love to go to either of these programs but they are so expensive as an international student
Banks very seldom hire at the masters level for for analyst positions (and there are very few slots for associates coming out of MBA) so I don't think it matters much where you get, it's going to be very hard in any cases.

I'm in the McGill MFin program, we've placed a few kids inIBthis year. Do that one. What's your undergrad?
