Small shops are typically dominated by personalities. This can be good or bad. Based on the information you provided, this sounds like the latter. If you have no way of improving the culture and/or no reason to believe the culture will organically change and decide to leave-IMO, then you should do so as gracefully as possible. It's a small shop and you never know if your reputation there may come back to bite you. For example, no matter how tempting, do not bad mouth your employer to others during your search, do focus on the positives from the role (experience at an FO), etc.

That's terrible, sorry to hear man. I've done something similar re ignoring obvious red flags to chase a higher comp (suspect was the same for you as it's really the only reason you'd ignore gut feeling). Ended up being a hard lesson that I didn't need, leading to burnout. Get out of there as soon as possible before this lunatic start carving up your mental and physical health. Having that company on your resume can't be additive to your long term career as I'm sure the reputation will get out to the street with the ongoing exodus. Market still looks pretty hot for talent so definitely don't miss the window. Keep us posted!
