目前是财务分析师on the dev team who looks at pro formas, waterfalls, a lot of different deals but trying to pivot to more of a development associate role. I don't have direct experience doing the job description but have been exposed to most of it… what are ways to spin my experience and convince people I can do the day-to-day?? Or things to focus on in my resume/interviews?? Note - not with my current company as this role isn't in existence and jumps to pure DM role that Isn't available

In terms of the day to day though, it depends on the shop. Some associates at say, Hines, Related or Oxford act as point people for the projects they're on, so they model, evaluate leases, and also do a lot of project management (dealing with consultants on design, acting as a liaison between your GP & JV partners, & securing entitlements). Most of this is to secure approvals though and get the project to the point where a preleasing threshold has been met and it's time to hand the asset over to construction. Some shops hire associates mainly to work on the PM & Approvals aspect though (i.e., mine in Toronto) so it can be an apples to oranges comparison depending on where you're looking.
