I'd say it is worth it. Ive had numerous jackets from various brands. They would always be not warm enough or fall apart quickly.

If you're looking for warmth then I would recommend The Super Puff by Aritzia but Canada Goose is good too except it looks bulky. Hope this helps!

Both my gf and good friend have had their Canada Goose jackets replaced multiple times over the last few years - that can be seen as a good or bad thing to some people (bad that they wear quickly, good that you get a new jacket replacement)
