Okay to put "Investment Banking Summer Analyst" in this case?

Hello,

I recently got an offer for anIBsummer intern at a top-tierIBin South Korea, which is why the timeline for recruiting was pretty chill. Anyways, the thing is this internship is only for sophomores and thus will not be considered as a gateway for full-time offers (so it's not like the traditional juniorSAgig in America). In this case, is writing "Investment Banking Summer Analyst" on resume misleading? If it is, should I just write in a different way like "Investment Banking Intern"?

It says sophomore internship. But in Korea as far as I know banks don't use "Summer Analyst" and I thought putting "Sophomore Intern" on resume would look weird. I guess I'll just go withIBinvestment banking summer analyst. Thanks!

I wouldn't say it's misleading, and you could probably do either and it wouldn't matter. The one thing I would make sure of is if you are doing purely administrative stuff, ie getting coffee and filing paperwork, I would not put down summer analyst. It seems they didn't really give you a title, so I would prob go withIB SA.

Investment Banking Summer Analyst is just fine; don't over think it. Source: Have done something similar myself after working in the advisory arm of one of the Big 4 in Korea.
