Background Check
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
3 phone interviews lasting between 45 minutes to an hour, first was HR, then a senior analyst followed by a PM. The interviews were mostly fit related, discussed my favorite idea with the PM. After 3 weeks I called them because I had a couple of offers to consider and they flew me into their Texas office for a final round that week. I met with 8 people, each between 30 minutes to an hour, all focused some time on the investment pitch, but they also spent a lot of time of my passion for investing, investment philosophy, what books I've read, and if I'm ok with living in Texas. The culture was good, people are very friendly and down to earth. I felt that they were less concerned about my technical skills and more focused on my passion for the job and personality fit.
