I'm aiming to be non-partisan/ideological here - if I were in the shoes of a progressive Democrat or even a moderate Democrat I would probably be hoping that he doesn't run. There are surely people who would be more effective at public messaging, more effective at dealing with the various factions of the party, and more effective at pushing through a left wing agenda.
