Less suity looking suit trousers?

This title makes no sense, and there's a good chance the question itself won't either but it's worth a try.

I'm moving jobs soon to a role that is somewhat client facing but much less so than my current role (say origination to structuring/underwriting).

I'm currently decked out with several suits which are due for replacement, and since I won't be in front of clients 24/7 I'm looking for something a bit more versatile. I'm hoping to find something more slim fit at the lower leg/ankle that could function almost as chinos, and then a matching jacket to throw on top as needed.

Any particular suggestions for brands/models that might lean more towards this style?

You're probably looking for business casual trousers if I understood your question properly. I have some great pairs of tapered trousers that I bought at Selected Homme and they're the perfect balance between formal and casual. Alternatively maybe you can experiment with some prints like checks or stripes which definitely bring the "suity" look down a bit.

Lululemon ABC pants. They look like slacks but are made out of this synthetic/polyester material so they're super stretchy and comfortable. Can get a ton of different colors and slim/skinny/classic fit. These are definitely on the casual side so maybe not exactly what you're looking for.
