Alvarez & MarsalRXrecruits for their Dallas office on UT's campus for interns andFT. FTI also recruits forRXconsulting. Other players like Alix and whatnot are not big, but I would assume its possible if you tried hard enough to connect.

I would assume Rice students/grads should get good looks, probs just less interest there so it seems less common while also being a smaller campus than UT. Approach it like you would anything else that is competitive - reach out to alumni in the firms you're aiming for, network/express interest etc.

I interviewed for A&M before joiningRXbanking side, and well it was not very technical and I felt like I did well but no offer, so not sure what they look for tbh

Any reason why UT and Texas are broken out as separate, when they refer to the same school? Lol

I am pretty sure UT is a target for restructuring consulting (have seen a decent number of alum at those firms on LinkedIn), so you should be able to resume drop if you are a business student. There won't beOCRfor non-business students (which is different from strategy / traditional consulting firms, which do haveOCR非业务学生)。不像许多人塔尔ked about restructuring consulting when I was there-there aren't really clubs for it, and the general consulting clubs at UT don't really focus on restructuring consulting. That isn't necessarily a bad thing though, because it means you are competing against a pool of applicants that are generally less informed and less focused on recruiting for the industry, making it easier for you to stand out.

Can't speak to Rice, but a quick LinkedIn search suggests that they are a target and that the restructuring consulting firms take a variety of majors from there

Hope that helps

Reach out to analysts/associates at the firms you are interested in. Would recommend starting with A&M/Alix/FTI. The groups tend to be relatively small so I would target people based on your preference of office location rather than if they are alumni of your school. Will likely get directed to on campus recruiting in the fall, but at least you've had one touch point then you can follow up right before they are on campus and that will likely bring you to the top of the pile and at least get you a first look for an interview.
