Anybody have anecdotes of people moving fromMBBto hedge funds? I consideredPEbut it's just so deal / process oriented andHFsseem much more interesting. Has anyone done this or heard of others doing this?

Stockbridge, which isunder the Berkshire Partnersumbrella, hires out ofMBB. am sure you can find many other examples, don't thinkMBBis a knock against you as long as you focus on funds that focus on deep dives and/or have a longer investment horizon.
Farallon also hasa few ex-McK folks
MBB->PE->HFis also a path that is well trodden. Might be easier frankly. I took this path and I think it has been a good way to gain exposure to multiple parts of the investment world.
