New York dethrones London as Financial Capital
As of March 2010, City of London based GFCI now ranks New York City as tied with London. London dropped andNYCgained points.

London is not the financial capital anymore since it is now tied with New York. New York tied with London = New York dethroning London from its title as Financial Capital.
Nobody said New York was now the financial capital.

London was never ahead of New York to begin with despite what your ranking says....
The bigger question is, does any of this actually mean anything for any of us? Hell to the no. It's just some random ranking. Anyone can come up with their own criteria and publish a ranking that says whatever they want it to say.
